E-visit FAQ

Q: I have KelseyCare Advantage – does the $25 charge still apply?
A: The E-visit is a value-added service and is not covered by insurance plans at this time so your office visit copay would not apply for an E-visit case. The $25 is a flat charge that is the same for any member utilizing the service (whether their co-pay is less or more than the charge). This is offered for those looking for a convenient way to not have to go to the doctor’s office when ill with any one of the acute 10 symptoms (hyperlink to that FAQ). The $25 would be charged at the completion of the e-visit – if you do need to come in for an appointment, you would not be charged the $25 and your office visit co-pay would apply.

If you do use the service, and the Physician Assistant orders a test (like blood work, urinalysis, etc.), or prescribes medication you can expect to be covered under your normal benefits.

Q: My office visit copay is less than $25 charge, why can’t I just pay my copay?
